Announcement to all corporate clients, In the coming week, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) will open the online request for letter of credits through the electronic banking system of the National Commercial Bank. All customers of the bank who wish to benefit from the letter of credits service will be required to prepare the following documents. Note that all documents must be original and valid. After confirming the data of companies from the bank the user name and password will be sent to the client through the system.
Note: All files must be in PDF or JPEG format and each file should not exceed 1MB
Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association
The statistical number document
The Commercial Register document
Chamber of Commerce Register document
Importers Register document
The national ID number document approved by the Civil Registry
If the authorized person to sign on behalf of the company / institution at the banks and public bodies is a person other than the authorized person in the commercial registration document, the following shall be requested:
The national ID number of the representative person document certified from the the Civil Registry
A letter from the company authorized person stating that the representative person has been authorized to sign on behalf of the company
An official power of attorney from one of the editors of contracts approved by the Libyan courts for his signature
Company account number composed of 15 digits as registered at NCB bank
Certificate of proof of payment of the tax and social security
Permission to practice the profession for companies importing medicines and medical equipment from the Ministry of Health
Permission to practice the profession for the manufacturers of the Ministry of Industry
Knowing that transactions will not be accepted for companies whose paid-up capital is less than one hundred thousand Libyan dinars and the date of incorporation of less than one year.
